ICC champions Trophy is scheduled From 19 February To March 09, 2025 featuring eight international teams.
The eight-team event will be the first global tournament to be held in Pakistan in 28 years. India already refuses to play all their matches in Pakistan. PCB spokesperson said that they are on schedule to complete the renovation and upgradation of the Gaddafi Stadium Lahore, National stadium Karachi and Rawalpindi Cricket stadium. The venues are expected to be handed over by the end of this month . Moreover the stadium capacity has been raised to 35000 fans .However Lahore and Karachi also host Tri-Nation series starting from 07 February ahead of champions trophy.
Furthermore, the renovation work at National stadium Karachi will be completed by January 30 . Moreover the new digital screen has been installed which will host three matches of the mega event and one match of the tri nation series. The Last date for completion has been extended for the third time in a row, with a final commitment to complete the work by January 31. the management assured the media that the construction work would be finished on time for the mega event. At the start the first phase of the upgrade, was scheduled to be completed by December 15 and later extended to December 31, then pushed to January 25. Furthermore, it has now been confirmed that all finishing work will be completed by January 31.making the stadium ready for the mega event.
