
Ranveer Allahbadia, a popular social media influencer, Popular Podcaster facing multiple Leagal cases in diffrent states of India following controversial remarks made during a web show. Influencer Ranveer moved to Apex court seeking to quash multiple FIRs against him in India’s Got latent show. Furthermore, the CJI Sanjiv Khanna turned down the request for an urgent hearing by saying that oral mentioning of the case is not permitted rather than their is a proper rule and procedure is must to be followed for hearing of case in the top court.
The content creator was summoned on Tuesday. In addition to Ranveer, Ashish Chanchlani, Apoorva Mukhija, Samay Raina, and three others were called for questioning. While many of them recorded their statements on Wednesday, Raina asked for time till March 17 as he is in the US for his stand-up shows. However, the Maharashtra Cyber Police has denied his request by issuing him a second summon and told him to present on 17th February.
Assam Police Arrived in Mumbai :
However, an Assam Police team arrived in Mumbai on Thrusday to meet Maharshtra Cyber cell officials as a part of investigation into the case filed against Allahbadia and others in Assam. The officials team had previously visited Khar police station on Wednesday to meet with senior police officers.
On Monday, the Guwahati Police registered a case against Allahbadia and four others.The Mumbai Police have already recorded statements from seven individuals including social media influencer Apoorva Makhija, in connection with Allahbadia’s controversial comments.

Apology Video :
In the latest episode of India’s Got Latent, Ranveer Allahbadia made a lewd comment as he asked one of the contestants, “Would you watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join once to stop it forever?”
After the backlash, the YouTuber shared a video apologising for his joke and said, “My comment wasn’t inappropriate; comedy is not my forte. I am just here to say sorry. Many asked, Is this how I use the platform? to which he stated, ‘Obviously, this is not how I wish to use it. I am not going to give any context or justification or reasoning behind whatever happened; I am just here for the apology,” he wrote. “I personally had a lapse, and judgment wasn’t cool on my path. The podcast is watched by people of all ages. I don’t want to be the person that takes that responsibility lightly, and family is the last thing that I would disrespect.”
Samay Raina also deleted all the videos from his channel and wrote, “Everything that is happening has been too much for me to handle. I have removed all ‘India’s Got Latent’ videos from my channel. My only objective was to make people laugh and have a good time. I will fully cooperate with all agencies to ensure their inquiries are concluded fairly. Thank you.”
Furthermore, The issue was even raised in Parliament by Shiv Sena MP Naresh Mhaske, who called for new laws to regulate social media content. Meanwhile, The National Commission for Women (NCW) has also summoned Allahbadia, Raina, Makhija, Jaspreet Singh, Ashish Chanchlani, and the show’s producers, Tushar Poojari and Saurabh Bothra,to appear before them on February 17 in New Delhi.
